Kafka is used for building real-time data pipelines and streaming apps. It is horizontally scalable, fault-tolerant, wicked fast, all this built on top of Scala and Apache Zookeeper. In this talk we will see how to start running Kafka easily without being intimidated by all the new words and lingo. What's more we will discuss Kafka's performance and performance tunning and how well it performs comparing to other similar products on the market. Futhermore we will touch how to implement Apache Kafka into your existing ELK infrastructure.
